Welcome to Ecobyte

Hi there,

First and foremost, I'd like to take some time to express my gratitude for your continued business over these past few years–I have learned so much working with you in the ever-changing industry that is web services, design, and development.

Today I'm reaching out to let you know that I'm finalizing the merge of Ecobyte and Unpackage; the brand I've decided to run with is Ecobyte. With the redesign of the website and implementation of our new billing system, some action is required on your part.

Action Required
Please be sure to visit https://go.ecobyte.io and proceed through the Forgot Password process. Account passwords and billing data could not be migrated during this change.

If you have an active, recurring subscription…
Once you've reset your password, please log in and click on Billing > Edit Payment Method and add your credit or debit card information.

An active billing method is required to maintain any active web hosting or domain product; it's important to make sure this step is completed prior to your next service due date.

If you have an active web hosting service with Ecobyte or Unpackage…
If you have an active shared or reseller web hosting service with Ecobyte or Unpackage, know that your cPanel account data will be moved which will result in a new primary IP address and a new set of name servers. You will receive this information in a separate email.

Pricing and offerings adjustments…
There will be no pricing increases during this transition. Further, we have expanded our free SSL certificate offering to all shared and reseller hosting packages. We're doing this because we believe in the mission of Let's Encrypt, whose goal it is to create a more secure and privacy-respecting Web.

If you run into any difficulties or have questions when completing the steps above, please do not hesitate to reach out via the website's online chat system or support ticket system.

The Mission

The mission at Unpackage has always been to support progressive movements in a way that I personally felt pushed our society forward. With this change, I hope to still uphold this mission at Ecobyte.

Through our partnership with Stripe, Ecobyte will contribute 3% of every purchase to remove CO₂ from the atmosphere, I will also make it a goal to maintain Unpackage's mission by donating a portion of our net income to progressive organizations and action groups from time to time. All contributions will be publicly viewable on the Ecobyte website.

Thanks again for your continued support and understanding.

Best,
Ryan R. Bealey
